Drone Current Sensing Board

I designed and manufactured a current sensing board and a corresponding interfrace to use during UAV charging station research. The project had 2 major components: the sensing board, and a measurement interface board. The sensing board provided current and voltage sensing using a selected in-line shunt resistor and a buffered voltage divider. Boards and components were ordered based the circuit designed. The measurement interface board was based a Raspberry Pi Pico 2, and programmed in C. The interface provided multiplexed interfaces to support a maximum of 8 individual measurement boards, all electically isolated from the measurement interface source. Isolation was important to have for scenarios working with separate charging and measurement power sources during static testing. Support for measurement logging to an SD card, and over a USB connection was implemented. Configuration and operation of the interface was supported using both a series of buttons, and the aforementioned USB connection.
